Corrina McNickle December 23, 1964 - December 8, 2024

Date of Funeral

December 14, 2024

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Corrina Marlene McNickle, who passed peacefully at the Dryden Regional Health Centre on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Corrina loved beauty, being known for her fondness of makeup, dressing up, painting her nails, and always looking her best. Her favorite color was blue, and she took pride in how she presented herself. She was a lover of animals, particularly cats and dogs. She also had a deep Christian faith, which gave her strength and guidance throughout her life, even at her hardest.

For over 20 years, Corrina worked as a nurse, where she offered her compassion and dedication to those in need. Later in life, she worked as a cab driver. Corrina was a woman with an unyielding spirit, outspoken, sassy, and unapologetically opinionated. Her strong sense of self was one of her most remarkable qualities, and she always knew what she wanted and made sure to get it done—no matter the task. She carried her stubborn, old-school ways with pride, running her own show. She may be gone from this world, but her vibrant spirit, love, and laughter will never be forgotten.

Corrina is survived by her children Jeff (Alisha), Laz, and Amanda (Kendall), and her cherished grandchildren Joyce, Jefferey III, Ava, Lily, and Kendra. She is also survived by her siblings Bruce and David McKay, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Predeceased by her parents, Madeline and Paul McKay, and her brothers Larry and Derek.

Visitation will take place at 1 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2024 with Adam Hall officiating. A Funeral Service will follow on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the Keewaywin First Nation House of Prayer with Pastor David Harper officiating. Burial will ensue at the Keewaywin First Nation Cemetery
