With family and friends by his side, Roy Manfred Dahl, aged 83, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024 at the Dryden Regional Health Center.
Roy is survived by his loving and longtime partner, Florence LaPointe, his son, Roger Meeks (Denese) of B.C., his stepchildren, Brenda Donohue (Mark) of Kenora, Danny LaPointe of Dryden, Debbie Dedieu (Norbert) of B.C., Joy Nylen (Keith) of B.C. Roy is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Roy was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. His many hobbies included woodworking where he made furniture pieces and beautiful cabinet work; leatherworking where he made belts and wallets for the men in the family; he had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening; he built bird houses and enjoyed feeding the birds.
Roy and Florence enjoyed many vacations together, travelling to locations near and far away seeking the sun or visiting family. He was an active member of the senior clubs in Vermilion Bay and Dryden. He truly enjoyed playing cards, games and the many delicious meals with this wonderful group of friends.
