Raven Harper January 2, 1994 - October 20, 2024

Date of Funeral

October 26, 2024

We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Raven Harper.

He grew up in Koocheching, ON. Born to parents Terry Harper and Janice Kakepetum, along with brothers Rowan, Rumour and River Harper.

All four brothers grew up interested in different activities such as sports but mostly wrestling. They had their own wrestling ring outside their home where they would all take turns. Raven loved hunting and fishing with his grandpa. They got a few moose with Raven when he was 5 or 6 years old and he stood there trembling from excitement. Growing up they all moved to Dryden, ON and stayed there for many years.

He is survived by his son Raiden Harper, father Terry Harper, brother River Harper, Grandparents, and numerous uncles and aunties from Keewaywin, Deer Lake, and many other places too numerous to mention.

He is pre-deceased by grandparents on their mother’s side as well as their mother Janice Kakepetum, and brothers Rowan and Rumour Harper.

Visitation will take place Friday, October 25, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home.

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, they will be flown to their home community of Koocheching First Nation where they will be further laid to rest.
