Expressions of sympathy may be sent to dcfh@drytel.net subject heading: Moore

In loving memory of John Moore who passed away peacefully at his home in Wabauskang First Nation.

John was born in Dryden and raised in Eagle River by his parents Doris and Peter and maternal grandparents John and Cecilia (Jack) Indian.

John is survived by his wife Joanne and family; Michael, Marshall, Mackenzie, Donald, Jason, Sadie, Jude, Shylo, Sundance, Jeremy, Brandon, Tom (Dorothy), Patti (Clifford) and Dianne as well as many friends and extended family.

John was predeceased by his parents Doris and Peter and by Mary-Jane.

John loved his family. He was a fantastic father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with them. He was so proud of his sons and was front row with a camera at all of their special events.

John would often be seen cleaning and thoroughly enjoyed hunting, watching tv and drinking beer, but was the happiest when he was out fishing. He was a guide at various tourist camps on Eagle Lake for over 30 years. He also worked for Wabauskang First Nation in Maintenance and then as a Medical Driver taking members of the community to their appointments.

John volunteered in the community quite often with various events. His cousin Tom would often be seen at his side helping with the cooking and other tasks. John gave back to his community as much as he could. He travelled a lot through his short time on this earth, met and made many new friends through his dearest and oldest friends and family.

Special thanks to the EMT, Community of Wabauskang, Leanne, Doug, Brian and Autumn for all your help.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 4 p.m. until time of service at the Wabauskang First Nation Community Hall.

A Traditional Service will take place on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Wabauskang First Nation Community Hall with Elders Robert Kelly and Barney Anderson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Wabauskang First Nation Cemetery.
