In loving memory of Helen Woitowicz, age 90, who passed away March 17, 2020, with family by her side. Helen was born on October 1, 1929, in Dryden Ontario, to the parents of John and Charlotte Saunders. She married her husband, Mike Woitowicz, on May 26, 1951 and celebrated 59 years of marriage. She leaves to mourn her children: Eleanor (Ken), Karin (Peter), Ron (Trudy) and April, ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, sister Thelma Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Mike in 2010, her parents John and Charlotte Saunders, her sister Hazel Davidson and brothers Bill Saunders, Ernie Saunders and Bert Saunders. Helen spent her childhood on the family farm in Britton. She spent her entire life in the Dryden area, working in the bakery and at the St. Regis bag factory. In later years she worked at the tree nursery and as a cook at the Wayfair Restaurant and the Dryden Hospital. She and her husband Mike owned and operated Pine Ridge Poultry Farm. Her days were spent looking after her children and attending to the daily chores. She loved her gardens and picking berries. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting. She also liked to travel to visit family. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a kind, caring and witty person. A lady of extreme strength and perseverance to beat all odds. Helen was always willing to help others: relatives, friends and neighbors. She will be dearly missed by all.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Agricultural Centre at 11:00 a.m. on July 12, 2022 with Velma Henderson officiating.

Interment will take place at a later date.
