Allison Land June 3, 1988 - November 16, 2021

In loving memory of Allison Ursula Land, age 33, of Wabaseemoong Independent Nation. Also, a community member of Wabigoon Ojibway Nation who passed away on November 16, 2021 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Allison is survived by her mothers Diana Land and Suzanne Parenteau, mother-in-law Yvonne Pitchenese, husband Conan Pitchenese, children Morales Pitchenese, Nizhoni Pitchenese and Liam Pitchenese-Land, brothers Roderick, Emilio, Irwin Land and Clayton Bruyere, brother-in-law Josh Pitchenese (Shawna Parenteau), nephew Ember Pitchenese as well as numerous aunts, uncle and cousins.

She is predeceased by her father Roderick Smith on January 1, 2007.

Allison was a loving mother, caring friend and kind hearted person. She also enjoyed karaoke, dancing, board games, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed powwows, fishing, sliding and other outdoor activities. She enjoyed watching Selena and Saturday Night Live.

She will be greatly missed!

Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 3 p.m. until time of service at the Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation Community Centre.

Friends and Family are invited to hear the teachings about the Creation of Life and the Afterlife at 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021.

A Traditional Service will take place on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation Health Centre with Elder Ron Mandamin officiating.

 

Interment will follow in the Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation Cemetery.
