Albertine Roussin March 2, 1917 - July 16, 2021

Albertine Roussin passed away at the Dryden Regional Health Centre on July 16, 2021 with her family by her side.

Born March 2, 1917 in Ste. Amelie, MB to Joseph and Maria Marion. She was the 5th of 14 children.

Albertine married Wilfred Roussin Sr. on November 4, 1935. They moved to Dryden in 1950 and eventually settled in Eagle River in 1959.

After Wilfred’s death in 1984, she remained on the farm and then moved to Dryden in 1998.

She will always be remembered for her unconditional love and support for her family and extended family. Her sense of humour and quick wit remained with her to the very end. When anyone mentioned bingo, she was at the door with her bingo bag in hand.

Albertine was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Sr., all of her siblings, daughters; Emelie, Irene and Alvina, son Joseph in infancy, grandchildren; Armand and Brian Cimon, Gilles Roussin, Joanne Yvonne Cain and Colin Roussin, great-grandchildren; Lennox Roussin and Justin Cimon and sons-in-law; Adelard Cimon, Ernie Richardson and Arthur Schultz.

She is survived by sons; Rosaire (Bev), Alphonse, Eugene, Joseph (Gail), Wilfred Jr. (Lynda) and Paul (Heather), daughters; Esther Kelly and Lorraine Richardson as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life and Prayer Service will take place on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with Father Alan Campeau officiating.

A Private Interment will take place at a later date.

    Sincere sympathy to aunty Bertine’s family. Aunty was a special person who was always cheerful, loved to tease and full of jokes. Enjoyed your visits to Manitoba!! We will miss her very much. Our phone calls always brought a smile to me. Ma Tante you will be missed. To my cousins; cherish all the memories they mean a lot. RIP Ma Tante!!

    Condolences to the families of aunty Bertine a very special person, she sure had a great sense of humour, and made the best rhubarb pudding for her nephew Rene Zastre..she will be greatly missed..and was loved by so many
